Wine and burgers

May 12, the Wine Vault orchestrates a dinner with Morton's and Catena and Cousino-Macul wines. The unusual entree in this four-course lineup? One-pound burgers made of USDA Prime filet, ribeye and New York strip, topped with Vermont aged sharp American cheese, artisan bacon and caramelized onions, with wines. $75; 704-548-9463.

I would have loved to have gone to several of the recently published wine/charity dinners. But right now we can't afford $75 or $100 a person. The $35 a person BBQ bourbon thing this weekend is too high. Why can't there be more events for $25 and under? Don't they realize people are still struggling out there?
