Wine to Water

Providence Cafe hosts a free Wine to Water event 6-8 p.m. Feb. 18. That means you can come to a wine tasting, eat hors d'oeuvres and meet Doc Hendley, founder of the group, which establishes new water pumps and educates local communities on how to take care of the wells. (Yes, you'll be able to donate, too.) The organization, highlighted by CNN, estimates it has helped bring clean water to more than 25,000 people in five countries, and is currently looking at ways to help in Haiti.
