Providence Road Sundries will donate 10 percent of all food sales through the Memorial Day weekend (May 28–30), to USO-NC. Owner Doug Bell says he's honoring chef David Jones, who served two tours of duty in the Middle East. The Charlotte division of the USO-NC, at the Charlotte airport, offers a private lounge where military personnel (about 8,000 a month) stay between deployment and leave, among other services.
