Elizabeth Avenue casualty

NoFo on Liz closed yesterday, a Raleigh manager confirmed; the cafe/store's siblings in Raleigh and Wilmington remain open. Ironic, since the city today celebrated the reopening of Elizabeth Avenue after the lengthy construction process (with blocked access) that NoFo folks indicate they "just couldn't get through."

that is horrible; NoFO is great!

Mexi Cafe probably didn't help the financial cause, especially with 1900 opening down the street

That's terrible! It was a cool place. Figures it would close. Most interesting places don't last very long in bland Charlotte.

That is really too bad. It was such a great place.

God, that sucks. I really liked that place. It was quirky and fun with good food. A damn shame.

I loved NoFo. It will be missed. Is MexiCafe still open? They should offer some of NoFo's menu. They share a kitchen.

Both NoFo and MexiCafe are closed.

Their service killed it for me a long time ago.
