Toast coming to Dilworth

Now-closed Sunset Grille at 2400 Park Road will become a Toast, with a menu "pretty identical except for specials," confirms Brian Burchill of Toast in Davidson. That's breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, an eclectic mix that ranges from eggs and flapjacks to lasagna to salmon to chicken pot pie. You can get a look at the current menus at www.toastcafeonline.com. Look for an opening in three to four months after renovation.

I've only been to Davidson a handful of times but I did have the pleasure of checking out Toast while I was there. Can't wait for this one to open in Dilworth! Mmmmmm!

Was this the location of that great tapas restaurant?

Yes, Las Ramblas, and John Duncan tells me he is still seeking a smaller space in which to reopen that concept.

If you haven't been to Toast please please please
Check it out. It is by far the best brunch I have ever had
And I have been to both the Davidson location
And the former Huntersville location. I do agree Sunset had
A good brunch but the Toast guys really know how to execute, they are simply the best at what they do! YAY Toast!!!!!!!

1. toast/huntersville, was in a bad location. 2. toast/huntersville was charging ridiculous prices for their menu items, for a 'south' huntersville location, demographically. just as pretentious as that 'mama mias' by the RR tracks. 3. dilworth seems more likely the crowd willing to part ways with their hard earned dollars.

Sounds like something worth checking out with the dinner group.

Judging by their menu, should be called Eggs. Not much else other than eggs and a few pancakes. Happy to have a breakfast place in Dilworth, wish the menu was a little more varied.

I live in Davidson and believe me Toast is awesome. Well run place and great food.

Bummer,
Sunset was just starting to come into it's own...Great BBQ, and Burgers! Unfortunately the Toast menu is not much different than every other joint in the Dilworth area. C'mon do we really need another place to go for a chicken Caesar salad and french onion soup..BORING! Sunset had a great brunch but so does everyone else nowadays.

Also seems overpriced. I give it a year...

Ice House has the same awesome barbeque as Sunset, so try it. Toast should be fun!

Anything will be better than Sunset grill, not surprised it didn't make it. Still miss Patou, the best restaurant yet in this location, but looking forward to trying Toast

Toasts Davidson location is excellent! Park Rd is a great choice to open a second location.

Finally a restaurant delicious and consistent enough to make that location work! Toast will be a RAGING success. If I'm willing to drive all the way up to Davidson to eat there, you know it's got to be good.
