Quaker Steak & Lube will open its second Charlotte-area location (and second in the state) June 6, if all goes according to plan, at 10405 Centrum Parkway in Pineville. The national chain is known for wings, burgers and a car-racing theme. (The first is in Concord.) The new one will seat about 375 and have motorcycles suspended from the ceiling, a 1978 Sting Ray car, the #31 Caterpillar NASCAR car and a Corvette (hanging, naturally, in the "Vette Room"). Actually, there was one at Park Rd Shopping Center a few years ago (now it's Monkey Joe's).
Food was pretty good, but it was pricy for wings and beer, imo.
