Conde Nast names Best New Restaurants in world; 1 is in the Carolinas

Conde Nast Traveler magazine has released its list of the Best New Restaurants of 2013 from “our favorite food cities” (sic), which it lists here as New York, San Francisco, London, Paris, Tokyo, Shanghai, Sydney and “the American South.” That last stretches from Dallas and Houston to D.C. and includes one from the Carolinas: The Ordinary in Charleston, from chef Mike Lata. (Amazingly, I went just last week - snapping the above and below - and I'll link to my upcoming writeup ASAP.) The Ordinary was also a nominee for Best New in the James Beard Awards this year.

Anon. 12:52 - sorry, but your unbelievably poor writing skills don't make that the best post. In the future, why don't you actually eat in the restaurant before criticizing it.

anon. 3:45 - anon. 12:52 did not criticize it, just said that the photo of a few oysters, without anything mentioned in the article itself, does not make it a 'best restaurant'. this article is merely a mention of another 'article' with the actual review (hopefully). oh, and i've eaten at this restaurant, it's nothing to brag about, price vs product.

John Jakob, anon 3:45 is spot-on with the post. First of all, anon 12:52 cannot write (or speak maybe?) and should probably not be posting....since (good, respectable, believable) posting requires writing skills beyond that of a 2nd grader. Perhaps anon 12:52 is a scorned former dishwasher at the restaurant, fired for repeatedly showing up drunk and speaking the way he/she writes? Secondly, the article doesn't say it is "the best restaurant," it is merely stating that it is "one of the best" and from "the carolinas," so the post is senseless. Lastly, if you cannot use inference or instinct to tell that what is being said is, in fact, criticism....you don't get it. Btw, it would've been really cool if your parents named you "Jacob Jakob."

Looks like an $11.99 Oyster appetizer to me. What's the issue? Nothing new coming from a resort/vacation city restaurant.
