Look for Southeastern chain Taco Mac to open at Piedmont Town Center in June, with more than a hundred beers on tap (their most recent restaurant boasts 140), and its specialty: Buffalo wings with seven degrees of heat (mild to "Death"). Sandwiches, burgers, tostadas and yes, tacos, too; you can find a menu here.

WOOHOO! The Virginia Higlands location in Atlanta is great. Laid back and huge beer selection (which is lacking in South CLT).
Taco Mac is awesome.
Waaaaaay overpriced and too trendy.
Leave it to Charlotte to put a Taco Mac -- essentially a sports bar with a bunch of beer taps -- in a super-fancy center next to a Del Frisco's.
How is that overpriced?
YAY!!! I'm from Atlanta and I miss Taco Mac. So glad they are opening one here!
Nothing says "Charlotte" like a trendy chain restaurant.
Awesome! One of my favorite places to watch games! Ok Ok and drink beer! Become a Passport member!
They were suppose to go in over a year ago but ran into financial issues. Will be very curious to see how it is received in Piedmont Center which has had a very hard time getting and keeping tenants.
Taco Mac has a great beer selection, but terrible, awful food. I lived in Atlanta for 6 years, great place to get a beer and watch a game, but eat before you go. Also, what a terrible location for a sports bar. Hope the valets don't expect to be tipped.
What are you talking about? The food is awesome, I mean as far as sports bar fare goes. I'm actually not a fan of their wings, something about the sauce I just never particularly loved, however, most of their southwestern items are really good. The chicken flautas on appetizer menus are good and the chicken nachos are incredible. Also like the carne asade burrito and the burgers are pretty good too(I prefer the hickory burger).
Taco Mac is open ! Awesome new store - 140 beers on draft and even some table where you can pour your own beer. Charlotte had nothing like this - and I personally love the food....
Skip this place if you can. The food is disgusting. Yes, they have a great selection of beer, but what good is it if the food is awful. Their are other way better wing bars in town.
Food is awful? Trendy? Did you really go in?
