BLT Steak wins the prize with earliest announcement of Thanksgiving Day plans. The place, at the Ritz-Carlton in uptown (110 N. College St.), will do a three-course prix fixe turkey dinner by chef de cuisine Ben Miles, offered for $68 from noon-8 p.m. Among the entree options: organic turkey with chestnut stuffing; prime rib with caramelized onion and bacon popovers; seared Scottish salmon with braised fennel. Hey Helen, it would be great if you wrote another post about what other Charlotte restaurants are serving on Thanksgiving Day. (normally, I'd consider it complete and utter blasphemy to consider eating out that day, as I love to cook and it is a long-standing family tradition, but I will have a three week old newborn and my in-laws in town. I would LOVE to send them out for the holiday meal this year.) just a thought, if you are hard up for blog ideas this week.
