Charlotte's Taste of the Nation is April 14, the 15th annual execution of this fundraiser to help end childhood hunger. At the Atrium uptown (401 S. Tryon St.), starting with a preview hour at 6 p.m., you'll find signature dishes from more than 20 restaurants and culinary schools, plus live and silent auctions, live entertainment, and wine, beer, cocktails and nonalcoholic drinks. In the auction: a portrait session, a puppy, a Panther-hosted patio party and more.
Among participating restaurants: 131 Main, Basil Thai, Bonefish Grill, BrickTop's, Brixx, Chima, Ember Grille, Enso, Firebirds, Gallery, M5, McCormick & Schmick's, Mez, Mimosa Grill, Morton's, Rocky River Grille, Savannah Red, The Liberty and Upstream.
Tickets are $85 if you want to attend the preview hour, $60 for general admission.
