Bits and crumbs: Oyster roast; Duckworth's uptown

"Shuck 'n Awe" is the title of the third annual Winter Fling at the historic VanLandingham Estate (above): It's an oyster roast Feb. 21, held in partnership with the Plaza Midwood Neighborhood Association. Dinner (roasted oysters, shrimp, red rice and collards) will be served 7-9 p.m., and there'll be a silent auction fundraiser, cash bar, door prizes, dancing and live music. $30 ($25 for PMNA members who buy in advance); 2010 The Plaza.
