Food and Haiti and Charlotte

  • Owen's Bagel & Deli in South End raised $2,000 for the WorldVision Earthquake Relief Fund for Haiti last week. Co-owner Geoff Owen says: "Just one more example of how Charlotteans respond to people in need. It was really an unbelievable day."
  • Amelie's is sponsoring a raffle to benefit the American Red Cross’s Haiti relief: Tickets go for $5 each or five for $20 Jan. 30-Feb. 5 and prizes include gift certificates to NoDa restaurants (including Cabo Fish Taco and Revolution Pizza & Ale House), tickets to N.C.
