Strong wines at Zink

Zink hosts a wine dinner featuring Sonoma County's Rodney Strong Vineyards on Aug. 2, in conjunction with Chef's Collaborative and that group's effort to preserve Bristol Bay, Alaska, which it calls the most productive wild salmon fishery in the world. The four courses include sweet pepper and corn-crusted Bristol Bay wild salmon with tomato cobbler and 2010 Russian River Pinot Noir 2010; and Snake River Farms beef duo with roasted cauliflower and tasso ham, with 2009 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and 2007 Rockaway Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. $75; 4310 Sharon Road; 704-909-5500.
