Tomato Fest and movie nights

Harper's celebrates "all things tomato" in its 13th Annual Tomato Fest, with locally grown tomatoes appearing in tomato antipaso, crab and avocado stack, tomato and onion salads, and more.

Also up at the Carolina Place location only: Dinner and movie nights July 21 ("Cars 2") and July 28 ("The Three Stooges"). Family discount dining is offered 5-9 p.m. and the movies are shown, starting at sunset, in the courtyard outside the south entrance of the mall (beside REI). 11059 Carolina Place Parkway; 704-541-5255.
