Bits and crumbs: Providence Cafe closed

Yes, Myers Park's Providence Cafe is closed, and yes, it's going to be something new from Charlotte Prime, which is the Ruth's Chris franchisee in Charlotte - details to come after some finalizing of details. Stay tuned.

Blue offers a food and wine pairing Aug. 15 focusing on Landmark Vineyards. Wow, it will be replaced by a chain "concept" restaurant. What a surprise. I try to avoid any restaurant that tries to cram a "concept" down my throat.

I always had good meals and service at Providence Cafe. And I will always remember their commercial with one of the absolute worst jingles I've ever heard.
